Superintendent's Message

Message from Superintendent Harvey Tackett

On behalf of the Bath County School district, I would like to thank our students and their parents for choosing one of our excellent schools to attend.   I want to encourage our entire Bath County school community to be patient and very cognizant of our school buses, parents, and students on the roadways daily.  Our students will return with much excitement for a very positive beginning as they start a new year of their educational journey.  We want it to be a very safe journey to and from school as well as during the school day.  Our cafeteria, custodial, and maintenance teams have worked diligently this summer to make sure all of our buildings and campuses are clean and well kept.  Also, our bus transportation mechanics and drivers have made sure all buses are safe and clean ready for the beginning of school.  Our teachers and school support staff are to be commended for the extra work in preparing their classrooms for the students.  Our 17-18 school district theme is “Make a Difference”.  There are so many opportunities daily for us to achieve this objective.  Our school district twitter page is:  #makeadifferencebcs.  You will have the opportunity to post positive messages, stories, and successes involving our students throughout the school year.   It will be vital for our entire school community—school staff, parents, volunteers, community members to work and team together in making a difference every school day for our Bath Co. children.  Our school district motto, “Where Every Adult Leads…and Every Child Succeeds!” speaks to our commitment in our district being the positive example to lead our students by.  Let us strive together to make this school year the best and safest one yet for our children of Bath County.    We are a very proud community.  It is a great day to be a Bath County Wildcat!
