Talent Search

A group of our high school Talent Search students recently represented Kentucky at the SAEOPP National student initiatives competition in Atlanta, GA on March 30th, were the high school team placed 1st in the High Q academic team competition.  Our championship team was comprised of the following four students; Gabbi Hill (Bath County 10th grade), Nicholas Frizzell (Bath County 11th Grade), Marcus Leavitt (Johnson Central 11th grade) and Brandon Hampton (Morgan County 12th grade).  The MSU Talent Search team competed against Talent Search teams representing their states including Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee.  The team earned the right to represent Kentucky after placing first at the state competitions on February 23, 2019.  The entire Talent Search staff is very proud of all our students for participating and taking time to represent MSU Talent Search.  The SAEOPP student initiatives is an annual competition for students who are served in federally funded college access programs which include Talent Search, Upward Bound, and Student Support Services.  The MSU Talent Search program currently serves students in 6th-12th grades in an 11 county service region in eastern Kentucky.  Congratulations Talent Search students! We are looking forward to next year!
